Grades:
I do not take points off for work that is turned in late. If you see a zero in CrossPointe that means that your child has not turned in an assignment on time. Once the assignment is turned in, your child will receive full credit for the work turned in. I always tell the students that they are to turn in their best work. I would rather see them be a little late with their work then having them turn in shoddy work.
Extra Credit is just that, a bonus of up to 10%, earned by students who complete their work correctly and on time. Extra credit is only awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
1. The work is turned in on time (No late work qualifies for the extra credit bonus).
2. The work turned in is complete and meets the assignment requirements (partially completed assignements will not qualify for extra credit).

Homework:
Students need to review their classwork on a daily basis. I tend not to give specific assignments for homework. Homework is basically a review of what we have covered in class. In other words it is practice for what we did in class. Students need to prepare daily for assesments as well as projects at home. Parents are expected to monitor their students by ensuring that students are reading their assignments, preparing for assesments as well as studying any new terminology and are prepared daily to come to class to learn.
